Organize and prioritize backlog

The backlog is your prioritized list of all work, from high-priority to low.

Access the backlog

  1. Go to your project
  2. Click the Backlog tab

The backlog shows all issues not yet started, sorted by priority.

Reorder issues to set priority

  1. Drag an issue up or down in the list
  2. Release the mouse

The issue position updates. Higher position = higher priority.

Understand backlog status

Issues in the backlog have a status of “Backlog” or “Not Started”. They appear here until moved to “In Progress” or another active status.

Group the backlog

  1. Click Group by or View
  2. Select TeamPriority, or Assignee
  3. Issues organize into groups

This helps you:

  • See what each team needs to do
  • Identify priority clusters
  • Spot unbalanced workload

Remove grouping

  1. Click Group by
  2. Select No grouping or Flat view

The backlog returns to a flat, prioritized list.
