Discipline-scoped themes are visible only to members of that discipline, helping teams organize parallel strategic initiatives.
What is a discipline?
A discipline is a functional area (Engineering, Design, Product, etc.). Discipline leaders can create and manage themes specific to their discipline.
Users are members of disciplines through their team assignments.
Create a discipline-scoped theme
You must be a discipline leader to create discipline-scoped themes.
- Go to Planning
- Click an Objective
- Click + New Theme
- Enter the theme name
- Under Discipline (optional), select a discipline
- Click Create
If you select a discipline, the theme is visible only to:
- Members of that discipline
- Project admins
- Company admins
If you leave Discipline blank, the theme is company-wide and visible to everyone.
